The common love for Sjut up and write

 

Last monday I went to a writing event in Utrecht with great pleasure

because I would like to continue writing. I always find it very exciting beforehand, 

how many people will come and will I be able to handle the crowd in terms of stimuli?

 

I left for the bus a little too late, because I usually makesure I am there well in time. 

This time the bus just arrived when I walked up. Oh dear I thought now I have to

run.

 

Luckily the driver was kind enough to wait for me, that was very nice. Of course

I was the first at the event, but I like that. I like tosee people come in instead of joining

a large group of people later.

 

The first to come in was a lady from Ireland,monly English is spoken in the group so it is good that I

spoke so much English in the game I play World of Warcraft. 

Almost all the people who were there came from another country there was someone from

Poland and Italy

 

We started with a short introduction: who are you and what are you writing.

What is your idea for tonight, because we were with 13 people it took 15+ 

minutes but it is nice to hear what others are doing.

 

The organizer himself came in late, that was a bit annoying but a known occurrence. 

The clock was set and we got to work. During writing it is quiet and that is super nice so

you can really focus on your writing.

In the café itself it was quite because most people were sitting outside, so that went

well too.

 

After the hour of writing, they discussed what you had written and whether

you were satisfied with it. You then got some tips from the others. 

It is quite inspiring to work in such a group and to hear where others get stuck or

what ideas they have to move forward. I really wanted to get the 21:20 bus so I was

a bit nervous when not everyone had been there by 21:00.

 

When it was my turn I said ad-rem: I got to go! And the group had a good

laugh about that. It is nice to feel good in a group and to feel like you belong. 

We all have something in common and that is The love of writing!!
